Born into a family of artists and colour manufacturers, Isabelle Roelofs inherited a passion and an unusual know-how.
Passionately interested in the history of colours and pigments, in 2008 she decided to revive her family heritage and give it a new lease of life.
This is what led her to create, under the name “Isaro”, a range of oil colours cleverly bringing together classic and modern pigments.
She then extended her know-how and knowledge to the creation of a range of water colours.
Isaro watercolours saw the light of day in 2011 after more than a year of research in collaboration with a professional watercolour specialist.
She is also the co-author of the book “La couleur expliquée aux artistes" (“Colour explained to artists”) published at end 2012 by Editions Eyrolles.
