Cerulean Blue

It is a clear and luminous blue which draws slightly on green.

It has good covering power, is stable in mixtures and perfectly fixed in light. The presence of cobalt in its chemical composition justifies its price.

It is particularly suitable for working in skies, hence its name, both in pure watercolor used, and in oil mixed with white.

In oil color: Its composition based on cobalt classifies it among the siccative colors.

In watercolor: This color has a strong tendency to granulate, more than other blues, and it is often sought after for the interesting effects it allows to obtain.
